All members of our staff were chosen because they show genuine interest and love for children and concern for all areas of their development. Our teachers have four-year degrees, associate degrees or child-development associate degrees. Staff members are required to attend training sessions annually. In this way they can stay informed about all the new research and techniques in early childhood education and exchange ideas with other area professionals. With an accumulated staff experience of over 114 years, we are able to combine our knowledge of childhood development, recognizing what is developmentally normal and what is not developmentally normal in the children who attend our center. Our teachers know what children should be able to do and learn at each stage of development. We encourage partents to seek us out for answers as we help them navigate the sometimes stormy seas of early childhood development. All staff members are required to be active members of Christian congregations. As such, they are called on and expected to practice the highest moral standards in their personal lives as is humanly possible.
Holy Cross Preschool & Kindergarten received word on December 1, 2014 that we had been awarded a 5 Star Rating in Ohio's Step Up to Quality Program. This is the highest rating a school can achieve and shows a high level of excellence. This rating would not have been possible without highly qualified and dedicated staff as every aspect of our program was evaluated by licensing specialists who were trained to recognize excellence.
All of our staff meet or exceed the state requirements for working in an early childhood center. Staff longevity is one of the most impressive things about Holy Cross. All of our staff is here because they enjoy working with children. This is a great place to work!
